The Trip

The Trip

the trip

In this meta-comedy, British comedians and play themselves as they go on a road trip, visiting many restaurants and sites in the English countryside.  Along the way Coogan pines about his stalled career, while he competes with Brydon on who can do the best impersonation.  It bit more complex than that, but it still makes for a funny (and highly improvised) comedy.

The film is actually edited down from a 6 episode TV series that original aired last year on BBC2.  However, when watching the film, I couldn’t really tell that it was edited down from a longer source.  That said, I would be interested in seeing the original TV series to see how it differs from the film.

Overall, The Trip was very funny film and I’m sure that those who love British humour will quite enjoy it.
