Fantasia2020

A Filipina nurse encounters supernatural entities at the house of the woman she’s caring for in . Evelyn () is a young Filipina woman, who has just started a job as a live-in nurse for dementia suffering Dena (). Evelyn has also come into the care of her nephew Amos (), who is staying at the house with you. It soon becomes apparent that the house is occupied by a number of supernatural entities, one of whom is addressed by the name of Mr. Sanzaru.

Sanzaru

Sanzaru is a very low-key haunted house film from writer and director Xia Magnus. Probably one of the more striking elements of the film is the look of the titular apparition, who is depicted as a red silhouette. The ghosts in the house seem to direct the protagonist Evelyn to a dark secret about the family she is taking care of. Overall, Sanzaru ends up being quite an atmospheric watch.

Sanzaru screens again at the 2020 Fantasia Film Festival on September 1, 2020, at 5:00 PM
