Three kids help their grandfather find his missing cow in The Old Man Movie. Priidik, Aino, and Mart are three brothers who are dropped off at their grandfather’s farm for the summer. Every morning the villagers gather around grandfather’s barn for milk from his prized cow, who he does not treat very well. When Priidik accidentally leaves the cow untied, it ends up walking off during the night. Since the cow will explode if it’s not milked within 24 hours, grandfather and kids run off to recover it, before the horribly disfigured Old Milker gets to it first.
The Old Man Movie is a weird claymation adventure from Estonian filmmakers Peeter Ritso and Mikk Mägi. Despite being an animated film, The Old Man Movie is definitely not one for kids, featuring everything from defecating pigs to chainsaw massacres at a hippie festival or a rock concert inside a bear’s stomach. The Old Man movie is definitely not a film for everyone, but you do have to admit that there is a certain charm to it.
