We’re All Gonna Die (Even Jay Baruchel) – Hot Docs 2022

We're All Gonna Die (Even Jay Baruchel)

Actor hosts a docuseries exploring various apocalyptic scenarios in We’re All Gonna Die (Even Jay Baruchel). There are many ways for humanity to come to an end and Jay Baruchel has made it his mission to explore which one has the greatest chance of ever happening. Over the course of this six-part series, Baruchel will talk to experts about Asteroids, Nuclear War, Pandemics, Alien Invasions, Volcanoes, and of course Climate Change.

We’re All Gonna Die (Even Jay Baruchel) is a new Crave Original Docuseries, directed by Victoria Lean and hosted by Jay Baruchel, who hasn’t hosted a science show since his childhood doing Popular Mechanics for Kids. Baruchel’s neurotic sense of humour is on display, as he talks to various experts to see how likely it is that humanity will face extinction.

The Hot Docs premiere of We’re All Gonna Die (Even Jay Baruchel) consisted of the first two episodes “Asteroids Armageddon” and “Nuclear Catastrophe.” While Asteroids are the most Hollywood form of extinction, it actually turns out to be the one humanity has the most control over. On the other hand, we are currently the closest to a nuclear holocaust than we have ever been. Overall, We’re All Gonna Die (Even Jay Baruchel) is an entertaining look at the ways we all could die and I definitely intend to watch the rest of the series.
