I always love a great film that would make me laugh. 2008 was not the best year for comedies, but there were still plenty of films that put a smile on my face.
10. Leatherheads
George Clooney‘s homage to screwball comedies was a wonderfully funny film.
9. In Bruges
All the comedy in this film was dues to Collin Farrel’s wonderful performance as one of the most politically incorrect hitmen around.
8. Zack and Miri Make a Porno
Kevin’s Smith’s most controversial film in a while, was also quite funny.
7. Forgetting Sarah Marshall
While Judd Apatow risks overexposing himself with his productions, this film still delivered the laughs.
6. Get Smart
Steve Carell helped create a hilarious adaptation of the classic TV show.
5. You Don’t Mess with the Zohan
This film was undoubtedly Adam Sandler’s funniest film in years.
4. Burn After Reading
The Coen Brothers have made a hilarious comedy that is right up there with The Big Lebowski.
This was a great little film that not many people checked out.
2. Happy-Go-Lucky
Not only is it a great comedy, but it will make you feel good when you see it.
1. Tropic Thunder
Ben Stiller hit it out of the park with this great satire of both Hollywood and war movies. Worth seeing just for Robert Downey Jr’s performance.
