the dark tower

Stephen King’s epic series hits the big screen with . I have been working on this epic seven part series for well over a decade now, so part of me at least curious about a big screen adaptation of The Dark Tower. However, this new film, presumably based on the first book The Gunslinger seems more akin to the recent trend of young adult adaptations than the dark themes Stephen King features in his novels. While I don’t really have anything against the casting of Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey in the lead role, The Dark Tower isn’t a film I am really clambering to see and I will probably just focus on finishing the novels.
