What I Watched – February 8-21

Here is what I watched over the last two weeks:
-
Point Break – First Viewing (Cinema) – An enjoyable bromantic action film
-
Lunarcy! – First Viewing (Cinema) – An enjoyable doc about Lunar aspirations
-
Looper – Rewatch (Blu-Ray) – Still quite enjoy the film
-
Side Effects – First Viewing (Cinema) – An effective thriller
-
Cosmopolis – Rewatch (Blu-Ray) – Worth it for that final half hour alone
-
The Raid: Redemption – Rewatch (Blu-Ray) – Tried watching the English-dubbed version. It was terrible
-
A Glimpse into the Mind of Charles Swan III – First Viewing (Cinema) – Somewhat underwhelming
-
Anticipating TOWER: a Shorts programme of Kazik Radwanski and MDFF – I can now see how Tower came to be
-
A Good Day to Die Hard – First Viewing (Cinema) – Didn’t feel like a Die Hard film, but it was an OK action film
-
Some Kind of Wonderful – First Viewing (Cinema) – The gender reversal of Pretty in Pink
-
Pretty in Pink – Rewatch (Cinema) – A classic, even if it had a bit too much of a Hollywood ending
-
Inglourious Basterds – Rewatch (Blu-Ray) – Finished off my Tarantino boxset and kicked off my mini-marathon of past Best Picture nominees/winners
-
Ghost Graduation – First Viewing (Cinema) – It’s a shame that this will unlikely get a decent theatrical release
-
Dead Before Dawn 3D – First Viewing (Cinema) – Alright for a teen-centric zombie film.
-
Shadows of Liberty – First Viewing (Cinema) – It was interesting, but the fact that I never got around to writing about it probably says something.
-
Midnight in Paris – Rewatch (Blu-Ray) – A lovely little film.
-
Little Terrors Volume 16: Frostbitten – Enjoyed this showcase of horror shorts and I will definitely check it out again.
-
The King’s Speech – Rewatch (Blu-Ray) – Still enjoy the film two year’s later.
-
The Social Network – Rewatch (Blu-Ray) – Makes me wonder why I even joined Facebook in the first place.
