It’s been over a month since my last DVD column, so it’s about time I get back into the swing of things. My top pick for this week is Splice, which I still consider to be a success in how it is one of the few Canadian productions (not directed by or Atom Egoyan) to receive a wide North American release (by Warner Bros nonetheless).  Not too shabby for a fairly weird sci-fi/horror film.  On to the picks.

Splice
Blu-Ray – $23.09 (CAN), $24.99 (USir?t=seakelonmov03 20&l=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969&o=1&a=B003EYVXT6)
Standard – $25.49 (CAN), $17.99 (USir?t=seakelonmov03 20&l=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969&o=1&a=B003EYVXSW)
My Thoughts: An intriguing film that sci-fi fans would love.
My Recommendation: Buy it if you love sci-fi (otherwise rent it)
