This was my first time checking out the Shinsedai Cinema Festival. Even though I wasn’t able to make it to the entire festival, I managed to check out six of the film and I liked what I saw.
Here is a ranking of the top three films that I saw at the festival:
Sean Patrick Kelly is a Toronto-based freelance film critic and blogger with a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema and Media Studies from York University. This weekend sees the release of one of the most high profile horror remakes – A Nightmare on Elm Street. I’m sure many people are nostalgic for Wes Craven’s 1984 original and the 14% Fresh rating over at Rotten Tomatoes suggests that critics are not going to allow the original film’s legacy to be tarnished….

This evening marks of start of the 2nd annual Blood in the Snow Canadian Film Festival. The goal of this film festival is to highlight the best of contemporary horror filmmaking in Canada. From tonight until Sunday, the festival will showcase 7 features and 16 shorts from a wide variety of up-and-coming Canadian horror filmmakers….
Well, I just came back from the Red Eye screening. Since I am not that big on reviews, I will just say that I very much enjoyed the film. After the film, we were escorted to meet Wes Craven, in an autograph session. I will have to say that my immense shyness really kicked in…
